Dr.Mariano Spiezia has spent most of his life trying to rediscover this great wealth of knowledge and to make it available to as many people as possible. He began his healing career in 1981 as a graduate in Medicine and Surgery in Italy and worked for eight years in city medical emergency departments. A desire to find a gentler way to treat disease and a passionate belief in the extraordinary power of nature have led him to combine this with his wealth of orthodox medical experience. His studies have convinced him that using the 'whole' plant, flower or herb and carefully combining it with carrier oils, essential oils or seeds, can create products to help maintain and improve our bodies and wellbeing. Many years of treating patients with his natural remedies have shown Mariano the enormous benefits to be found from this combination of intuition and knowledge, both ancient and modern, as will be seen from the many testimonials we receive. All our products are made by hand. The first step is to infuse the herbs in organic oil. We usually choose extra virgin olive oil, which is renowned as an antioxidant and for its similarity to sebum, the oil naturally secreted by the sebaceous glands of the skin. The mixture is left in a warm environment, exposed to the energy of the sun and the moon, and then pressed to collect the oil which becomes the main active ingredient for the preparation. Our process creates a safe and natural way to balance, moisturise and revitalise the skin. Most creams incorporate water, which can encourage the growth of germs, dilute ingredients and require the addition of an emulsifier and a preservative.
